Sometimes not everything goes as you intended and you have to change focus and goals. In September, Camilla was to run her first marathon, but had a relapse and had to have surgery again. The marathon plans were put on hold and postponed until 2019 .
The training for the marathon has not been in vain. It has made Camilla get to the hooks faster, and already at the end of August Camilla started running a bit again. First an easy round around the neighborhood, then longer walks in Svartdalsparken, and then eventually, several continuous kilometers.
When Camilla told me that she had put on her running shoes again, I started thinking. Marathons are clearly excluded this year, but maybe she can do "10 for Grete"? If, for example, the undersigned ambassador joins her all the way? I took the chance and challenged Camilla again.
"After having had to postpone running the BMW Oslo marathon until 2019, we were of course both a little disappointed, but then he decided that we should run" 10 for Grete "instead. I did not even have time to think about it for long before I said yes. With the promise of accompanying me all the way, go if we have to and just enjoy a good cause then it became easy. The form is quite good, and I have run three trips of four / five km so far. In addition, I have gone on a number of trips, so 10 should therefore go well. Do it for Grete - and a little for Magnus ».
Camilla changed focus and goal and is once again ready for one of the distances during the BMW Oslo marathon.
On that occasion, we invite you to join the journey! You can follow us directly under 10 for Grete, minute by minute, kilometer by kilometer and all the way to the finish on 15.9 via Instagram-Insta story @oslomaraton!
We're in, are you?
