Started the year after being diagnosed with cancer.

Got a pain in the groin during Oslo Marathon 2016, turned out to be cancer.

Rajah Sivaperuman has run the Oslo Marathon 12 times. During the race in 2016, he got pain in his groin during the race, but finished anyway. This turned out to be lymphoma! Rajah has used exercise as motivation and has been active throughout his treatment.

After six rounds of chemotherapy, he is now out of the disease. Rajah ran the Oslo Marathon in 2017, the year after he was diagnosed with cancer.

Active in the Cove

Rajah wants to highlight the importance of physical activity in preventing mental and physical ailments. He has therefore started the group "Active in Viken" under the Norwegian Tamil Health Organization, which is an exercise program for people from minority backgrounds.

Rajah will be at the starting line at this year's BMW Oslo Marathon 2023 together with a large group from "Aktive i Viken".

Thank you for sharing your story Rajah, we are cheering you on!
