Vebjørn Hovdejord won the half marathon
Vebjørn Hovdejord from Snøgg Friidrett went all the way to the top during the half marathon in today's BMW Oslo Marathon. He ran a winning time of 1:07:26.
Hovdejord ran in the 18-21 year old category - and led the distance from start to finish. There was never any doubt as to who would win the distance. After 5 km he had a lead of 25 seconds. After 10 km, the lead was up to 48 seconds.
Andreas Dahle Wærnes from Rindal IL finished second in the half marathon in a time of 1:08:30. The Rindal runner participated in the 24-34 age group.
In third place in the half marathon distance was Stian Dahl Sommerseth from Satisfy Running with a time of 1:08:32. Sommerseth ran in the 24-34 year old category.
- It was tough today. Fortunately, it lasted all the way in. I had to look a little behind after a while, but it went well," says Vebjørn Hovdejord from Snøgg Friidrett
Last year, it was Gular runner Marius Vedvik who won the men's half marathon in the BMW Oslo Marathon in Oslo. Marius Vedvik crossed the finish line in a time of 1:07:50 last year.
