Runa Falch won the women's half marathon!

Runa Falch from the organizing club Vidar secured a clear victory in the women's half marathon at the BMW Oslo Marathon. She ran a time of 1:17:35 in the 24-34 year old category.

After 5 km, the lead was already 67 seconds. At 10 km, she passed one minute and 47 seconds ahead of the runner-up, in a time of 35:45.

Second fastest of all women was Silje Eklund from Skreia IL (40-44 years old). She was clocked in at 1:19:51.

Cecilie Høgset came third out of all the women in the race with a time of 1:20:30. She ran in the 24-34 year old category.

- It was a tough race, with pain in my stomach from around 13 km onwards. I had to grit my teeth. But of course it's great to win," says Runa Falch.

A total of around 20 100 runners are registered for this year's edition of Oslo Marathon. SK Vidar is currently organizing Oslo Marathon number 42. In 2022, 16,600 runners registered for the BMW Oslo Marathon. The first Oslo Marathon was held in 1981.

This year, there are around 10,000 runners in total in the half marathon - the distance with the most participants. There are 3,000 participants in the marathon distance, and there is also a national championship. There are just under 128 runners in the Oslo Triple (73.3 km). And in the "10 km for Grete" there are just over 6,000 runners. There are 13 participants in the 10 km race (wheelchair). The number of women registered is around 8,000, while the figure for men is 12,000.
