The BMW Oslo Marathon follows the wonderful group of blind and partially sighted people from Team RP. You may have seen them run with yellow vests through the trails, but they have hardly seen you! During the event on 17 September, they gather a number of cultural and sports personalities, who together with the team's many athletes run as companions to profile Active Against Cancer during the BMW Oslo Marathon.
Last month, Team RP used diligently. First, the Birkebeinerløpet was on the program, and there our blind friends occupied a total of 4 podium places in the disability classes - impressive! The trail consists of a lot of terrain and challenges, and it is inspiring to see this blind gang get through the trail!
Secondly, last weekend the stage was set for a meeting with the Tyrilistiftelsen. This unique collaboration that the RP association has initiated is about drug addicts during rehabilitation to act as companions for the visually impaired through various activities. It all peaks in a month and a half when the group of over 60 people together will climb Galdhøpiggen. This as a symbol of common mastery and that two basically weak groups through cooperation can make each other good on many levels. The entire collaboration is followed by a film team - we are eagerly awaiting this autumn's TV winner.
Do you want to increase your running motivation with this positive team? Every Wednesday at 19.15, a large group from the Team RP community trains at Bislett Stadium, where they run intervals, in addition to strength and balance training. Yoga has also become a regular optional feature on the program.
