BMW Oslo Marathon is underway

This year's edition of the BMW Oslo Marathon is underway! A total of around 20 100 runners are registered for the race.
SK Vidar is today organizing Oslo Marathon number 42. In 2022, 16,600 runners registered for the BMW Oslo
Oslo Marathon.
The first Oslo Marathon was held in 1981. In 2019, a record number of participants was set with 23,000
in total.
This year, there are around 10,000 runners in total for the half marathon - the distance with the most participants. In the marathon
There are 3,000 participants in the marathon distance, and there is also a national championship.
There are 128 runners in the Oslo Triple (73.3 km). And in the "10 km for Grete" there are just over 6,000 runners. There are
are 13 participants in 10 km racing (wheelchair).
The number of women registered is around 8,000, while the figure for men is 12,000.

Communications Manager Tina Hatland from BMW Oslo Marathon is looking forward to today's distances in the capital

- "It's great to be running the BMW Oslo Marathon again. There's a great atmosphere and lots of
joy of running. It will be a long and great race day. Everything is in place for a great mass rally in the
the streets of the capital," says Communications Manager Tina Hatland from BMW Oslo Marathon.
The marathon distance of just over 42 kilometers is underway. The same applies to those who will run the 10 km in
wheelchair.
- "There are good running conditions for long races. There are lots of excited participants here. Yes, it's fun to gather
around 20,000 runners again," says Tina Hatland.
