The winners of the 17th mairaton!

The 17th mairaton was for the first time held with over 9000 participants. People of all ages from all over the country and many places around the world took part in celebrating a different national day.

The rules were simple, you could run where you wanted, when you wanted. The only rule was to implement on May 17.

Now the results are ready, and we see many strong times. The level has been high and it has been exciting to follow the lists as the results tick in.

3 x HURRA (3 km)
On the men's side, it was Tage Augustson from Varegg Fleridrett who took an early lead of 9:12, this stood for a good while, but was finally beaten by Trond Ørjan Eide from Storkmo with an average speed of 2:48 per kilometer. This resulted in a clear victory in the time of 8:24. Third place was won by Jon Fiva from Tyrving IL with a time of 9:37

HALF MARATHON
There was a lot of excitement associated with the half marathon distance, where Sondre Nordstad Moen was registered. But unfortunately Moen had to retire just minutes before he had planned to run, due to stomach problems.

In less than a minute, the first 4 runners parted in this very even «starting field». The winning time was a strong 1:10:47 by Oslostudentenes IK's runner Jørgen Korum. Only 7 seconds faster than Johan-Jørgen Lindgaard Strømberg from Sportsklubben Vidar, and 22 seconds faster than the third place that went to Tony Gjerde from Bøler IF.

Sylvia Nordskar was the fastest girl in a half marathon. The time 1:22:16 secured the victory ahead of Lise Borgen-Johansen. The difference was 1 minute and 16 seconds. Third place went to Tjalveløperen, Lisbeth Pedersen in the time 1:27:33.

An old acquaintance of the Oslo Marathon, former winner of the Oslo Triple, Sebastian Conrad Håkansson wins the 17th marathon marathon distance in the time 2:26:26, only 19 seconds faster than Sportsklubben Vidars runner Rolf Steier. According to Sebastian's punishment, this was his personal marathon. The session was conducted in Orkanger. Link directly to the winning session HERE.
