Senay Fissehatsion won "10 for Grete" for men!
Senay Fissehatsion from Ullensaker Kisa won the men's 10 km during today's BMW Oslo Marathon in the streets of Oslo.
He passed 5 km in 14:22 and crossed the 10 km finish line in 28:49. Halfway through the race, he had managed to gain a 37-second lead over second place.
Fissehatsion ran in class 24-34 years.
– It was a good workout. Good atmosphere all the way, says Fissehatsion.
– A willing and wonderful guy who competes a lot, says Jack Waitz in the organizing club SK Vidar about the race to Fissehatsion.
Theodor Berre Jacobsen from SK Vidar came in second place with a time of 29:51. In third place overall in the 10 km was Tommy Hove from Bratsberg.

Amalie Sæten won "10 for Grete" for women! 🏆
Amalie Sæten from Ullensaker Kisa took the lead in the women's 10 km at today's BMW Oslo Marathon, leading by 23 seconds to second place after just 5 km.
This resulted in a victory for Ullensaker Kisa in the 10 km for both women and men. Sæten ran 10 km in 33:15.
Sæten signed up for the Oslo Marathon two days ago.
– It went OK. I wanted to try to see what it was like to run the 10-kilometer. It was fun to run, concludes Amalie Sæten.
Second place in the women's 10 km was Laura Maasik from Estonia. She finished in 33:57. Kristine Meinert Rød from SK Vidar finished in third place overall among the women in 34:05.
