Winner of the NM in the women's marathon: Annie Bersagel

Annie Bersagel won the women's NM marathon!

Annie Bersagel (39) from the Oslo club Tjalve was fastest in the marathon distance for women during today's BMW Oslo Marathon in the capital. Thus she also became Norwegian champion in the marathon distance.

Annie Bersagel crossed the finish line in 2:43:26, and became Norwegian marathon champion for the very first time. She also won the 35-39 age class. The Tjalve runner passed the halfway point in 1:21:46. Then Annie Bersagel was six seconds ahead of number two.

- I am very satisfied with the race. I tried to be patient along the way - as well as focus on the next turn. I was here to compete, not to set a personal record, says Bersagel after the marathon distance was completed

Siri Schøne Ness from Lyn Ski was second overall among the women in a time of 2:48:02. She ran in the 35-39 age class.

Silje Eklund from Skreia IL came in third place among the women. She got the time 2:50:28. Eklund participated in the class 40-44 years.
