For two weeks, Camilla decided on this year's big goal. She will complete the marathon distance during the BMW Oslo Marathon 2018. The goal is big and the road there is still long, but Camilla is motivated and has now started training. Together we have created a program that takes into account a busy everyday life, consisting of work, dog and an active social life.
Camilla's training plan consists of a total of four sessions a week, with a rest day in between. Every Monday, Camilla receives help from a personal trainer with generally adapted training such as ironing and movement. The rest of the sessions are race-specific, where the minimum of the sessions a week should be speed-based, while a session every other week should be longer than an hour. Here Camilla can also go skiing or do something else she thinks is fun to vary her training. The goal of the longer sessions should be to train the body to work continuously over a longer period of time at a time.
The program initially aims to give Camilla structure in the running training, as well as to find back to the good training habits. On the way to the marathon, Camilla has set a sub-goal, and that is that she will complete OsloMila on June 2 in less than 55 minutes.
