Resale and Marketplace are closed
The possibility of buying and selling starting places is closed as of September 2. It is now no longer possible to sell or buy starting places.
If you had listed your space for sale, it will now be reactivated, and you will have access to "my page" as before. This may take some time, but everything should be back by September 3rd.
If you would like to purchase a starting spot for one of our distances that is not sold out, you can find any available spots on our registration pages .
Buying and selling starting places
The resale platform is open! Do you want to buy, sell or give away your starting place for the DNB Oslo Marathon 2026? Now you have the opportunity to do this via our resale platform – safely and easily!
If you want to buy a starting spot, you will find available starting spots on the Marketplace from August 4th, which can be found on this page .
If you want to sell or give away your starting place, you can do so through "my page", and there are 3 possible solutions. We explain everything about how this works below.
Only sold-out distances are available for resale.
IMPORTANT – Have you changed your distance since you first registered and want to sell your spot? Please contact us BEFORE you put your starting spot up for sale.
Marketplace from August 3rd
The Marketplace is open and you can find available starting spots HERE. It is first come, first served. It will be updated with available spots as they are made available by runners who want to sell their spot.
The Marketplace is open until September 1st. At that time, the resale platform will close, and you will no longer be able to make changes to, buy or sell your starting spot. If you have put your spot up for sale and it has not sold, you will automatically get it back.
If you have already chosen to sell to a person on the waiting list, your spot will automatically be posted on the Marketplace on August 3rd, you don't need to do anything.
The waiting list ended on August 3rd, and starting August 4th, those interested in a starting spot must go to the Marketplace to find available spots.
Important information
- It is only possible to sell starting places for distances that are sold out.
- There is an administration fee of NOK 200 when selling or transferring a starting place.
- You cannot sell your starting spot for a higher price than you paid.
- It is not possible to take advantage of discounts when purchasing a starting spot through resale or marketplace.
- The deadline for purchases, sales, transfers and name changes is September 1, 2026. It is not possible to make changes after this date.
- If your place is not sold by September 1st, you will automatically receive it back.
- Space sales are only possible for distances that are sold out.
- Have you changed your distance since you first registered and want to sell your place? Please contact us BEFORE you put your starting place up for sale.
- Starting places purchased/obtained via resale or marketplace cannot be resold.
Buy a starting place
The waiting list is closed. If you would like to purchase a starting spot, you can find available starting spots on the Marketplace, which you can find on this page .
How the waiting list works
- You register on the waitlist for the distance you want to participate in.
- A registered participant makes their bib available for sale on our Resale Platform
- Our computer system draws a random person from the waitlist who is offered the bib.
- The person who is drawn will receive an email with information about the prize and a link to register.
- The person has 24 hours to register, if they do not register within the deadline, the offer of the place will be passed on to a new person on the waiting list.
When the Marketplace opens, we close the waiting list, and you must enter the marketplace to find available places.
Sell or give away starting place
Do you want to sell or give away your starting spot to someone else? Then you have three options; you can sell it to a random person on the marketplace, sell it to someone you have made a deal with, or give it away for free to someone you have made a deal with. Select the option you want to know more about in the menu below.
Important information to note when selling a starting spot:
- It is only possible to sell starting places for distances that are sold out.
- The deadline to put your starting spot up for sale is September 1, 2026.
- From August 3rd, your spot will not go to a person on the waiting list, it will be posted on the marketplace. Read more about the marketplace above.
- If your space has not been sold by September 1st, you will automatically receive it back.

Sell to an individual on Marketplace
If you want to sell your starting spot to a random person from the marketplace, do the following:
- Log in to “my page”
- Click on “transfer entry” , you will be redirected to a page where you choose how you want to transfer your bib, select the option “Sell on the public resale platform” .
- Choose your selling price*. The price that appears is the amount you paid in registration fee, if you want to sell at a reduced price you can change it
- Press "next" to then confirm the sale on the next page.
When the space is sold, the payment will be transferred to the account you used to purchase the space. It will take a few business days for the money to be in your account.
*Note: you will be charged a change fee of 200 kroner, which will be deducted from the price you choose to sell your starting place for. For example: If you sell your place for 800 kroner, you will receive 600 kroner when the sale is completed. You choose the price you want to sell your starting place for, but it is not possible to sell it for a higher price than you bought it for. Additional services and products are not included, read more about this under "questions and answers".
Sell to the person you have agreed with
If you want to sell your bib to a person you have made an agreement with, do the following:
- Log in to “my page”
- Click on “transfer entry” , you will be redirected to a page where you choose how you want to transfer your bib, here you select the option “Sell to someone you know” .
- Enter the email of the person who will purchase your bib.
- Choose your selling price*. The price that appears is the amount you paid in registration fee, if you want to sell at a reduced price you can change it
- Press "next" to then confirm the sale on the next page.
- The person will receive an email with a link to sign up.
- Once the person has registered, the payment for the bib will be transferred to the account you used when registering. It will take a few business days for the money to be in your account.

- Click on “transfer entry” , you will be redirected to a page where you choose how you want to transfer your space, here you select the option “Gift to someone for free” .
- Enter the email of the person who will receive your bib.
- Press "Continue" to then confirm on the next page.
- The person will receive an email with a link to sign up.
Note: You will be charged a change fee of NOK 200 which is charged when you register the space as given away. Additional services and products are not included, read more about this under "questions and answers".
Questions and answers
Prices and discounts
It is not permitted to sell your bib at a higher price than you bought it for, and it will not be possible to enter a higher price in the system.
It is not possible to use discounts such as student discounts or contract discounts when purchasing starting places through resale/marketplace.

Additional products
When you choose to sell or give away your starting place, your additional products are lost, meaning they cannot be passed on to the person who takes over your place.
If you have purchased a t-shirt, you can choose to pick it up at Expo - see more information below.
If the person taking over your bib wants any additional products or services, they can add this to "my page", provided it is still available.
What happens to the t-shirt?
If you have purchased a t-shirt and choose to sell your starting spot, the t-shirt is not included with the sale. You will have the opportunity to pick it up at the Expo, but you must fill out a separate form in advance. If you sell your starting spot, you will receive a separate email with information on how to pick up the t-shirt.
Training program?
If you have purchased a training program in your registration, you still have access to it via the email you received when you purchased the training program.
MySafety insurance?
Any cancellation insurance with MySafety related to your starting place will be canceled.
I can't find the sell button on my page.
Are you registered through a team?
If you are registered in a team with invoice payment, the starting spot cannot be sold via the resale platform. Please contact your team manager, who will assist you further.
Did you sign up with a discount code?
If you used a discount code when you registered, you will not see the "Sell my place" button on My Page. Please contact info@oslomaraton.no and we will help you further.
Bought/obtained space via resale or marketplace?
Starting places purchased/obtained via resale or marketplace cannot be resold.
Have you changed the distance?
If you have previously changed your distance through us and now wish to sell your starting spot, we recommend that you contact us before listing it for sale. Manual distance changes are not always registered correctly in the system, and we will ensure that the payout is correct.
Undo sale
You may be given the option to withdraw your spot if you regret putting it up for sale. Please note: when you put your starting spot up for sale, it becomes available to people on the waiting list. If a buyer accepts the offer to buy the spot, the sale is automatically completed and cannot be reversed. The buyer has 24 hours to decide. If no one buys the space, an offered buyer declines or does not respond within the deadline, you can withdraw the starting space from sale.
How do you withdraw your space?
After you have put your space up for sale, you will have access to "my page" until your space is sold. On "my page" you will find a button where you can request to withdraw your space. If your space is not sold after you have submitted your request, you will get your space back.
If your place has been sold, you will receive an email with information about this, and you will no longer have access to "my page".
I haven't been able to sell my place.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that you will be able to sell your space. It depends on whether someone wants to buy it.
If your space has not been sold by September 1st, when the marketplace closes, you will automatically get it back.
