NEIGHBORHOOD WARNING

The DNB Oslo Marathon will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026.

This will, to a greater or lesser extent, have consequences for the residents in the area around the trail.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The trail will be closed on Saturday, September 12th from 5:00 AM to 8:00 PM. All driving on the trail is prohibited, and all roads and parking lots leading to the trail will be blocked. The driving ban also applies to residents with driveways or garages leading to the trail.

Parking restrictions will also be introduced in the area from 23:59 on Friday 11.09 to Saturday 12.09 at 23:59. The entire course will be marked with "no stopping" signs and all cars parked here will be towed away. We kindly ask residents to follow the signs in their immediate area. Signage will be put in place within 24 hours before the sign is effective and we remind you that car owners have a duty to investigate to see if temporary signage has been put in place in their area. Residents who are blocked in and may need to drive while the race is in progress are advised to park their car outside the course. See the map of the course at the bottom of this page.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Buses and trams will be affected to a greater or lesser extent. See ruter.no for more information.

TRANSITIONS IN THE TRAIL

It is not possible to cross the trail by car. As a pedestrian, there will be several places where the trail can be crossed. This year we will set up three footbridges at the arena at Rådhusplassen where pedestrians can cross the trail. See map of the arena and trail at the bottom of the page.

ACCESSIBILITY

We recommend that everyone leave their cars at home on Saturday, September 12th, if you do not have to drive into the city center on that day. Instead, use public transportation, bike, or walk. Ring 3 will not be affected by the DNB Oslo Marathon route, so traffic will continue as normal.

BOOZT ZONES

At several places along the course there will be stations with various features including music, cheerleaders and other fun. This is for the enjoyment of both runners and spectators, and we hope all neighbors along the course will join in and cheer the runners on along the course and create a public celebration on this day! See the course map below to see which stations are near you.

BISLETT STADIUM

This year's route will pass through Bislett Stadium. Music will be played from the stage and PA system inside the stadium from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 12th.
