Marthe Katrine Myhre from Gjøvik Athletics Club was the fastest during today's marathon for women in the BMW Oslo Marathon in the capital. She ran in the time 2:43:31 in class women 35-39 years and became Norwegian champion in the marathon distance.
There was also a new track record. She even had the previous track record of 2:44:43 from 2012. At that time she represented SK Vidar.
-It went very easily. I think I delivered a pretty good race to be in Oslo. I ran very smoothly, but there were a few men to run with, said Marthe Katrine Myhre after the finish.
In second place overall came Hilde Aders from Tromsø Løpeklubb. She ran in the time 2:51:03 in class 35-39 years. Last year she was the fastest of all during the Oslo Marathon with a time of 2:52:35. This year she ran even faster.
In third place overall for women was Laila Mehus from Stord in the time 2:59:33. She ran in the age group 40-44 years. She also runs the Oslo Triple - and the marathon distance was the first of three races for her today.
