Life on the trail September 19!

Danske Bank Oslo Marathon repeats the success from 2013 and 2014 of creating extra life along the trail. We have brought with us over 30 cultural elements to inspire the many thousands of runners who are registered for this autumn's event on Saturday 19 September.

In addition to all the runners, their families, friends and everyone else who stands and cheers will also enjoy the various cultural elements.

-It is clear that Danske Bank Oslo Marathon wants to create life on the track. This is also a folk festival. With this, we also want to give an opportunity for artists and other cultural groups to show themselves in a somewhat different environment, and profile themselves through the event, says marketing and communications manager Cathrine Stensaker in the Oslo Marathon.

There is great variation in the different cultural elements. In Bjørvika you will be able to experience Bjørvika Business Band which is among the country's leading big bands with a repertoire that stretches between jazz, funk, pop and hip hop. At Skøyen in Karenslyst Allé, various well-known dance groups such as Cre8, Deep Down Dopeizm and Caporia perform, with house music played by DJ Ghar.

Professional ballet dancers trained from the Norwegian Opera in Ballerina Productions dance between the buildings in Tjuvholmen allé. Wallmans Oslo has several appearances on the main stage in Rosenkrantzgate, shared with Silkeramp and KLANG, among others. And HAZZO, a young and skilled drummer who is performing for the third year in a row, plays with a big screen at the Bring terminal at Sjursøya.

-We will arrange for our participants to have a good experience around the trail, and these entertainment stations create life on the trail to inspire the participants along the way. At the same time, we give something back to Oslo's residents by offering a free cultural experience during the event, says Stensaker.

It will not just be life and movement on the marathon Saturday itself. Cultural elements are on the agenda for large parts of the weekend.

-In addition to these, other partners will also have music and cheering stations to create life along the way, and we can guarantee that there will be a good atmosphere for those who travel the streets of Oslo on the weekend of 18 and 19 September, Stensaker concludes.
