We are proud to have entered into a partnership with the Church City Mission Foundation. Together with Right to play and Active against cancer, they make up our three charitable partners in 2017.
"Our charitable partners work for increased physical activity and better health in society, where they focus on their respective groups. It is important to us that our partners share the same values as the Oslo Marathon. During last year's event, Kirkens Bymisjon participated with 12 participants from their business, SPENN, in Oslo. With weekly training ahead of the BMW Oslo Marathon, they showed great commitment. It is therefore natural to have them as a partner this year, "says Julie Uggen in the Oslo Marathon.
The Church's City Mission and the Oslo Marathon work together to put physical and mental health on the agenda. "With the collaboration, we want to show that regular training and activity can provide improved mental health and good experiences of mastery and joy no matter where you are in life. We can all recognize that it is motivating and inspiring to train with others and have something to train against. The Church's City Mission users and guests are no exception. Here we will all run together, and hope you will run with us. By supporting the Church's City Mission, you contribute to a person who is in a difficult life situation being able to have a better everyday life ", says Gro Skovli from the Church's City Mission.
