Hilland won the women's half marathon

Rebecca Louise Hilland from BFG Bergen Athletics Club won the half marathon for women during today's BMW Oslo Marathon. Hilland was the best of all women with a time of 1:16:46. She competed in the class K 35-39 years.

-It was hot to run today. The first half went well. The second half was very tough, but the audience gave me a boost today, says Rebecca Louise Hilland from BFG Bergen Athletics Club.

In second place overall among the women was Runa Skrove Falch from the organizing club SK Vidar with a time of 1:20:06. She also ran in the age group K 35-39. In third place came Jessica Gunnarsson from SK Vidar with a time of 1:21:41 in class K 40-44.

In 2015, Eleanor Davies (K 24-34) from the UK was fastest in the half marathon for women with a time of 1:15:45.

The track record for the half marathon for women is 1:09:41 and is held by Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal. The record is from 2012, and it was never threatened in today's half marathon.
