Luggage storage

If you wish to leave your luggage during the race, this will be possible in our luggage area located in the courtyard of the City Hall, at Fridtjof Nansens plass - right by the start.

Safety

For security reasons, only this year's luggage bag can be handed in at the luggage storage. The luggage bag will be given to all participants at the Expo. Runners cannot hand in their own backpack/purse/bag etc. as luggage, they must use the luggage bags.

It will not be possible to leave suitcases, bags or similar. For this type of luggage, we can recommend the luggage storage at Oslo Central Station or similar alternatives.

There will be volunteers and guards present, but DNB Oslo Maraton does not take responsibility for theft or damage to your belongings, all luggage storage is at your own risk.

Luggage storage is outdoors and is at your own risk, do not leave valuables. As it is outdoors, you may want to bring a plastic bag to have inside, if there is a danger of rain and you are afraid that something will get wet.

This is what you do:

  1. Get your bib number and luggage bag in Expo.
  2. On your bib number you will find a label marked with your name and bib number. Tear off the label and attach it to the luggage bag.
  3. When storing luggage, follow the signs for your distance and your bib number range, and here you place your bag.
  4. When you pick up your bag, you must present your bib number. You will find your bag where you left it.

Opening hours

Luggage storage is open from 07:00-18:30 on the day of the event.

We recommend everyone to be out in good time to avoid queues.

When you have finished your distance we ask you to kindly pick up your luggage immediately to avoid queues and big crowds in the luggage area.

Lost and found

Have you lost or are missing something? Please contact us at info@oslomaraton.no .

Please note that anything left behind in the luggage storage that is not claimed within 1 month, will be donated to charity.

The toilets in the arena can be found here:

  • Otto Sverdrups gate (over 100 toilets)

Medical Assistance

Ygdra's medical health team stands ready in the target area

This year, Ygdra will be presenting its solid medical health team at the DNB Oslo Maraton. Their doctors, nurses and physiotherapists have extensive experience in sports medicine, acute injury treatment and race-related health challenges – several of them have been part of the support team previously and have good experience with our event.

They are located in the finish area and monitor the runners as they cross the finish line. If necessary, they offer rapid assessment and treatment – and prioritize based on condition and severity.

Their experience shows that many of the problems that arise could have been avoided with a little better preparation. Typical problems seen are:

  • Overheating – too much clothing and too little ventilation
  • Dehydration – too little fluid before and during the race
  • Cramps, fatigue and stomach upset – often due to low nutritional intake or an unfamiliar diet
  • Injury aggravation – many runners have minor injuries that could have been handled earlier

Their best advice to our runners: Prepare well and use common sense! Adjust your clothing to the weather, drink regularly throughout the day, and make sure your body is ready to run.

Ygdra is cheering for you – and is there if you need us!

Together with Ygdra, Norwegian People's Aid is also present both in the arena and on the track to assist those who need help.

Safety on the trail

At the request of the police, it is NOT allowed to run with music in your ears. This applies to all types of headphones / earplugs. This is for security reasons. For the same reason, it is also not allowed to run with a stroller and / or dogs.

Make sure you get enough food and drink throughout the day.

Emergency services

DNB Oslo Maraton has a close and good collaboration with all emergency services in Oslo to ensure the safety of participants and the public is best ensured, as well as to help ensure that the daily work of the emergency services can be carried out during the event.
