Awet Kibrab won the 10 km men

Awet Kibrab was the fastest in 10 km for men, «10 for Grete», during today's BMW Oslo Marathon. Kibrab represents IK Tjalve and comes from Eritrea. He ran the distance in the time 30:44 in the year class M 18-21.

-I did not have much time today, but it was good to run. Fun to run in Oslo today. Good people and good weather. The goal this year is 28:20 on the same distance, and the next race is in the Netherlands, says Awet Kibrab.

In second place followed Kristian Tjørnhom from Kristiansand Løpeklubb in the time 30:58. Tjørnhom ran in class M 18-21. Number three overall in the men's 10-kilometer was Soufiane Lakdhar from Morocco in the time 31:55, in the year class M 16-17.

The track record of "10 for Grete" for men is 29:28. It set SK Vidar's Sondre Nordstad Moen in 2009. The record for the SK Vidar runner was never threatened today.
