Stuhr became best woman on the Oslo trip!

Aud Elisabeth Stuhr became best woman at the Oslo Triple on 19 September 2015! This is the first time this distance has been arranged by Danske Bank Oslo Marathon.

Stuhr from STAS-Springarane completed a full 73 km in the strong time 6:12:58 (3:28:15 in the marathon, 1:52:31 in the half marathon and 52:08 in the "10 for Grete").

Aud Elisabeth Stuhr is 39 years old and a mother of two. On a daily basis, she works as a private physiotherapist and runs STAS-Treningssenter together with 3 other active ladies! In 2014, she started a running group and brought 23 ladies from Suldal to this year's Oslo Marathon.

- I have always been interested in physical activity, started early with athletics and was active at 400 m and middle distance when I was young. Then there were studies and family, but the running was never put on the shelf. Taking a run gives me a lot of profit, and for me it is like a valve in an otherwise hectic everyday life, says the female winner of the Oslo triple.

After the children got a little bigger, Aud Elisabeth started to train more purposefully and wanted to participate in more races. It was only this year that she wanted to try her hand at ultra-running and she thus contacted coach and ultra-runner Sondra Amdahl.

-Since January 2015, I have followed Amdahl's program, and I notice great progress from last year. He is good at making arrangements that suit me exactly, and I have also been spared injuries so far. We have a varied training program, where no two weeks are the same, the distances also vary from pace runs, long runs, progressive runs and interval training. The nice balance between different workouts makes me think it will be fun to run a lot, says Stuhr.

Aud Elisabeth Stuhr has participated in an ultra race earlier this year, Bergen Ultraløp. Here she ran 63 km, and unexpectedly won this distance as well. The next new goal that now awaits her is the NM 24 hour race in November in Oslo.

- This will be a big and new challenge for me, and I think anything is possible! I think it's fun to test limits, something I really get to do with ultra-running. As long as I think it's fun and it fits into family life, I will continue with this, Stuhr concludes.
