Kristine E. Engeset won «10 for Grete»

Kristine Eikrem Engeset from Tjalve IK won «10 km for Grete» during today's BMW Oslo Marathon. She ran to the winning time of 33:37 in the 10-kilometer.

-I was a little unsure of how to dispose of my strength as I had not run 10-kilometers before. But it was fun. Will probably run more such distances, says Kristine Eikrem Engeset from Tjalve IK.

Maria Sagnes Wågan from Namdal Løpeklubb came second with 34:17. In third place came Ingvill Bovim from Tjalve IK in the time 34:36.

The track record for "10 for Grete" for women is held by Karoline Bjerkeli Grøvdal, now IK Tjalve, in the time 32:40 from 2015.

A total of just under 19,000 runners participate in the Oslo Marathon today. Runners from a total of 62 countries are participating. The oldest runner is 83 years old.

General manager May Britt Dørum-Persen in SK Vidar and the Oslo Marathon is very pleased with the marathon day in the streets of Oslo.

-We have brilliant conditions and not least safe conditions for the participants. And with almost 19,000 participants present, we have good reason to be happy. We also see that we have more participants in the half marathon than before. In addition, the average age of the runners is lower than in recent years, says general manager May Britt Dørum-Persen in SK Vidar and the Oslo Marathon.

-We also have 1,100 volunteers who make a great effort before, during and after the Oslo Marathon. Thanks to them, we are able to arrange this running party, says May Britt Dørum-Persen in SK Vidar and the Oslo Marathon.
